ABOUT US

GemAssist is a family owned business. I have a B.S. degree in engineering. I was a Project Manager with a strong background in computers. As a result, GemAssist was started. Prior to my disability, I found I was not artistically inclined. However, one of the silver linings of my BRAIN INJURY disability has been a new found ability to tap into my creativity and keep my MEDICAL RECORDS ON A USB.

This all happened by accident . When I would purchase several Medical Record Devices, they were not usable by the doctors or the hospitals. Wow! Suddenly, I thought if I felt ill and collapsed on the ground or in an accident, would the emergency crews that would come to my aid know my medical needs. I needed to make sure I could give those treating me the information they needed to help me. I have used mine at my last visit to the hospital and they loved it. No waiting for paperwork.

Wearing a device 24/7 can become ugly and non-appealing, but adding GemAssist Unique designs makes this Medical USB and Medical Jewelry and NoN-Medical Jewelry made me feel better and not so much as a disabled person. I could be safe and wear beautiful jewelry at the same time. Cool!

I started at a bead shop with a friend and then the possibilities were there for me to be a useful person again. Then as I progressed, I wanted to share my new found interest with Foundations to fund for Brain and Spinal Injury. This mission is to help others to help themselves. I have several artists to assist me and this is some of their work, too
